Ed FrySpending much of his personal and private life carting backpacks of equipment around from site-to-site, Ed has been seeking the Nirvana of mobile computing, with the power, content and security to make life a little easier. Ed describes the various trials and tribulations which he has faced, and the successes he has made in the usage (and acceptance) of mobile applications, and the gadgetry to support them.

Ed Fry has 30 years of experience in the development, integration and management of real-time safety-critical software systems; working across a range of domains including planes, trains and automobiles; maritime, pharmaceuticals, global finance, air-traffic management and tele-comms. With size and complexity of system platforms ranging from his 1st paying job developing Z80 assembler code for an industrial energy efficient boiler controller to his current role involving integration of a Signalling and Train Control System Product with 3 concurrent deployments to areas of the UK Rail Network. Ed is a proponent of Process Improvement, a lapsed CMMI Assessor, and equally at home managing monolithic life cycles or his more recent (and significantly friendlier) agile developments.
